Objectives

To promote the development of a sound road transport sub-sector in Tanzania
To advise the Government and other Road transport stakeholders to plan and provide good and safe road and ensure their effective maintenance.
To encourage public private partnerships (PPP) in developing and operating road transport infrastructure and services
To provide quality services that meet the needs of TARA members and road stakeholders
To promote environmentally friendly technologies in the construction, maintenance and operation of the road transport infrastructure and services
To collaborate with national, regional and international road transport stakeholders in implementation of activities and programmes related to the road sub-sector in Tanzania.
