
INTRODUCTION:
The Tanzania Roads Association (TARA), which is also a National Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Works in Tanzania through the Tanzania Transportation Technology Transfer (TanT2) Centre, Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA), the Roads Fund Board in Tanzania and other local and international institutions, is organizing a six-day intensive Training on Construction and Supervision of Roads Works to be held from 10th – 15th August 2026 at Gold Crest Hotel, Arusha, Tanzania
This training aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals involved in road infrastructure development by equipping them with practical knowledge, modern techniques, and best practices in road construction and supervision.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES:
Participants will be able to:
- Strengthen skills in construction and supervision of road works
- Enhance knowledge on quality control and assurance practices
- Improve capacity in site supervision and inspection techniques
- Understand modern construction technologies and methodologies
- Develop effective project monitoring and reporting skills
- Improve health, safety, environmental, and social compliance practices
